Thank you, Cat and Elizabeth! Writers absolutely need more "straight talk" about the financial realities of "making it" as a writer. We're an army of dreamers with our collective head in the clouds. Our success depends heavily on our return to earth. 🙂

Great interview! I'm a huge Cat fan and her book, and her newsletter, are both delightful.

Great interview, Elizabeth. And I love the idea of Poe as a self-help muse.

Great interview. Thx for her social media info. I love following and keeping up with talented writers. Her Poe book sounds truly original! The artist's life financially is dire unless one has a job, trust fund or benefactor (hubby for me). I do recall stories about successful screenwriters (when I was in that world) who would wake up at 3am, write, work at their "normal" job, come home and write until bedtime. Sigh.

Love this - and now want to read both Poe For Your Problems as well as One's Company, which sounds fascinating!
