I am one of the 20%, 100% of the time. I read books from the library. I support the library with my time and money through volunteering. I could never afford to buy all the books I read in a year (around 200/year). I am retired and love to read.

Interesting, especially the book about the criminal mastermind. So strange to imagine a call center taking complaints!

Apparently customer service is important, even for criminals.

I am all-library, all the time! Most of my reading consists of ebooks as generally I’m reading multiple books simultaneously. I end up having too many to keep by my bed. Occasionally I’ll be tempted to get a specialized book, but I have not bought a book in years and years. I do buy gift books for others who like to have their own copies.

I get my books from the library if I can. If I see a book I fancy in a shop I check the library catalogue first on my phone.

I get my my books from the library. If I wind up loving it, I may buy it. There's only so much space in the house!

I know that feeling well.

I love the library but I end up buying used copies of many of the books later so I can reread and mark them up or simply take more time. When space in the house runs out, I cull and donate to the library book shop or the local free-libraries around the neighborhood.

I get maybe 75% of my books from the library, 20% used, and 5% new (usually from independent bookstores but also places like Costco, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon).

My husband got my a literary fiction subscription from one of our local independent bookstores as a gift and The Great Circle came last month — I’ve put it aside to read on an upcoming vacation in June and it sounds like that was a good decision. I can’t wait to get to it.

I tried Secret Identity and couldn’t get into it — I might have to give it another chance.

Great Circle feels like a "you" book. And great for vacation. Where are you going?!

Oooh, now I'm even more intrigued...

My parents co-own a place in Door County, Wisconsin, where we've visited as a family every summer and fall since I was a baby. Now my mom, grandma, my daughters, and I go for a week together at the end of June/early July each year. Despite taking care of a 5, 8, and 101yo, I usually manage to get through 4-5 books that week, and I like picking out ones to wait for.

I just got Secret Identity from my library over the weekend! I've heard it's so much fun, and I can't wait to read!

I rarely buy books, except as gifts for other people. I love my local library and use it all the time. When we were in lockdown they delivered a stack of books to my door every few weeks. It was a wonderful service and I would have gone bonkers without them.

Each of these recs are going on my TBR list. I love all things to do with women in flight, I love Alex Segura's work, and any book that prompts a reader to say that the bureaucracy was fascinating piques my curiosity.
