I really enjoyed Word Freak when I read it a few years ago and it was helpful in shifting how I thought about Scrabble from being a game for people who love words (which I do) to a game for people who love math and memorization (which I love less)... it made me feel better about being a thoroughly average Scrabble player.
I completely agree. I’m also a very average scrabble player whilst hubby always wins, despite not being a big reader. I aim for interesting words whereas he aims for maximum points.

My brother beat me and my mom once like ten years ago and has refused to play with us again so that "his winning streak continues."
I have a brother like that! He hates losing.
I've just reserved Queen of the Tiles from our local library, thank you!
Enjoy!
I have never thought about blood donation as an industry. How fascinating. I love that you recommend books that are new to me. Thanks!
This one was wild. Something I'd never thought about before.
I agree completely with you about Gilbert's decision and the precedent this sets. I look forward to reading that op-ed.
It's just such a bad move. She can afford to do this, but a debut author would be sunk.
Yay, it's my all-time favorite book! (The Master and Margarita.)
If you're thinking about reading it and Elizabeth didn't quite convince you, please go for it anyway.
Thought about you while I was writing up the blurb friend!
Love the puzzle and need to read the book! Thanks, Elizabeth!
Thanks pal!
I need to finally read Master and Margarita!!! (thanks for linking my op-ed, too!)
DO IT.
Blood Money looks so interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy!
