I read The Husbands months ago and I still think about the moment when she comes home to the husband wearing a ruff and speaking in Shakespearean English. I laughed so hard then and even now I smile when I think of it.

SNL YES! I saw it. Eddie Murphy hasn't lost a thing in his impressions--he did a great Tracy Morgan. And then when he speculated if they could be related, Tracy Morgan wonderfully deadpanned, "I don't see it." And the alien abductees interviews--just when I was in stitches over Kate McKinnon's portrayal, then Meryl Streep comes on as her mother!!!

The alien abductee sketch is one of my all time favorites, so I was excited that they brought it back for the 50th. Meryl needs to host!!!

Thanks for reminding me to put The Husbands on my TBR. I had forgotten how much I wanted to read this book until reading your review. I sooo resonated with your line: “In a world with limitless options (watch me spend hours trying to figure out what to make for dinner), making a decision and sticking with it is difficult.” And I think I’m sooo going to resonate with this book. Thank you!

I know it’s a couple weeks later, but I finally got around to reading The Husbands. What a premise! Read it in a day. I needed a palate cleanser after reading an emotionally terrifying Gothic suspense. This was the perfect quick read I needed.
