YES, Snacking Cakes! My favorite is the Powdered Donut Cake. It tastes remarkably like powdered donuts, and it's so easy/fast to make. That cookbook is just about perfect.
Ditto for My Sister, The Serial Killer. What a ride!
OMG I totally forgot — I set a goal for myself to bake every recipe in Snacking Cakes this year . . . and I've only done two!!! Ok, new weekend plans, unlocked. (I will say, I made the powdered donut one, and it was outstanding!)
I’ve been baking for 20 years and I swear the yellow cake recipe in Snacking Cakes is the best I’ve found. Plus sometimes you just don’t feel like doing anything elaborate and just want a freaking simple cake around to eat! It’s been a revelation and also got my husband baking. I’ll just like, hear him down there clanking around and am like…yesssssss here we go. The corn cake is incredible. Sounds weird but make it.
