Schools are segregated by religions as are neighborhoods in the various cities. Never say County Londonderry it's always "Derry" or Doire in Irish. And the language isn't called garlic it's just called Irish. Go to Dublin it's gorgeous
I read Milkman on a cross-country flight and I think that was the perfect experience for me. I had no distractions and could really focus on it. It's a hard one to dip in and out of.

Milkman is spectacular. I recommend the Audiobook by Audible. The narration is superb.
