I'm team gold and white and even with squinting my eyes and reading the explanation, I cannot fathom how it can be perceived as blue and black. Which section is blue in that scenario? I'm assuming the lighter sections? I want to be the person who sees things differently, but alas, I'm with the majority.
Great reading recs, by the way. I'm currently listening to The Historian, which I'm 99% sure you recommended.
Obviously white and gold, until I look up the reason people see it differently and now it is 100% blue and black. I was able to introduce my kids to this phenomenon and to my delight they saw it differently from me and we had a great time debating it.
This dress always makes me feel like I'm losing my mind because on some devices I see blue/black and on others I see white/gold. Live Science did a really interesting look at why people see different colors: https://www.livescience.com/50842-dress-debate-color-perception.html
Maybe I'm strange but although it's obviously gold, it isn't white, it's a pale violet with the gold.
team white and gold!!!!

Fascinating! Glad to pass it on to another generation.
Obviously blue and black.

Whoa! Crazy!
That's fascinating!
One vote for blue and black.
The bingo card looks very fun--do it again next year?
I'm planning on it!
Traffic sounds spectacular! I think the dress and llama day was the last good day of the social internet.
It's really interesting. I had forgotten about the llamas until I read it. What a great day for the internet.
I'm with you, team white and gold.
THANK YOU.
