I love so many children's books so here are some for your niece: A VISITOR FOR BEAR, FRIENDS by Helme Heine, OLIVIA, CAN PRINCESSES WHERE HIKING BOOTS?, CARS AND TRUCKS AND THINGS THAT GO by Richard Scarry, SNUGGLE PUPPY by Sandra Boynton.
I love children’s books too. My personal favourites are The Tiger Who Came to Tea and the Paddington books. I also have a fondness for Angelina Ballerina, especially the one where she goes to the library.
I have a tradition (or had - no babies in my life for a long time now) of getting two books for a child and her parents: The Velveteen Rabbit and Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. These are books that I always loved reading out loud and could do so way before the baby understands a word.
I have needed a balm for my brain after the election. Thank you for the suggestions. And anything by Sandra Boynton is delightful for littles. My younger sister loved “The Going To Bed Book.”
Corduroy, Goodnight Moon, Llama Llama Red Pajama, Brown Bear Brown Bear, The Golden Egg Book, First 100 words by Roger Priddy (get the big version), The Foot Book, Green Eggs and Ham, Go Dog Go, Put me in the Zoo, Mr. Brown Can Moo. Anything by Richard Scarry and all the Little Critter books are great.
