Neon Green by Margaret Wappler (which came out several years ago), and I have Laura Pritchett's new novel, Three Keys and Sally Rooney's Intermezzo up soon. I also highly recommend a story collection from several years ago by Andrew Martin, Cool for America. He's a very gifted and often very funny writer.
What To Gift If your sister writes a book recommendation read letter?
I just read Margo's Got Money Troubles and I loved every single moment - so charming and smart and fresh.
One of my favourite reads this year.
So good - I'm rarely sad when a book ends (there's so much to read!) but I really didn't want it to end.
I was a single mother at 19 so I really identified with Margo, but I wasn’t nearly as entrepreneurial as she was.
What other books have you enjoyed this year?
My mother was 19 too when she had me, coincidentally. Not easy, needless to say...
